A wide angle View of india has mentioned a tag regarding
'A song which inspires '
here (http://nitawriter.wordpress.com/2008/05/07/1659/)

I like the issue the writer discusses in her blog. I took the liberty of writing about a song that inspires me , and pat came 'ஒளி படைத்த கண்ணினாய் வா வா' from Bharathiyar songs.

The tune learnt in school is playing in the mind . This had inspired me on many occasions. Like when I am depressed while confronting problems in relationships, problems being a modern woman, problems when crossing hurdles.

It had never failed to instill the confidence to carry on.. and boost my moods and energy.

What is yours?

I would like some responses on this :-)

  4. I used to sing this song in our school prayer every tuesday morning and everyone must repeat each stanza. During those days we rarely could get the golden words in the right meaning as it was merely done like a repetitive act in the prayer. When we really read back with the feel of whatever you have mentioned definitely it means a lot to us now...

Hillary Clinton, going down fighting every moment during the last few months, said in her 'thank u' speech

"When you stumble, keep faith. And, when you're knocked down, get right back up and never listen to anyone who says you can't or shouldn't go on."

And remember, she is neither young or too old, a modern woman, in every sense and perception of that word. Also a big dreamer. A person who has faced ups and downs of domestic life with fortitude, courage and conviction, and finally decided to aspire for the top post in the World itself.

I have not read any of your postings, but your introduction of yourself, propel me to quote what Hillary Clinton said.

Whenever, one says something out of courage and conviction, one does not get angry at what's happening around, even as one learns to live with the existing circumstances.

    God Bless you.

  8. The inspiration one gets by reading Bharati's poems can only be compared with that of reading Vivekananda's speeches. We never find any trace of despondency. All positive thoughts despite his poverty. One example :

  11. Hi, Vetrimagal, thanks for visiting my blog, glad to discover yours. I cannot read Tamil but I guess you are referring to Oli padaittha kanninaaya ... That's the only song of Bharathi's I am familiar with, probably because it's the most famous.

  18. @ Sury:

Welcome to my blog. I did not actually see these comments till date, thinking that not many would visit !.Thanks and Vankkam to Bharathiyar for pulling such good viewers to my blog.

When I visited Sevalaya page from your blog, I felt I must live in tamizh nadu to serve people whose language is familiar to me. There is a language barrier for me when I visit poor schools. I am trying to overcome it. When things become difficult I dream of being somewhere in Chengulput and being of some help to those poor children.

I have to go through your blogs and writings soon1. This response is only a sample.

Thanks for your visit. God bless
